Maris Otter malt, Fuggles hops and a British yeast are used in this classic style called an Extra Special Bitter. An ESB is characterized by a “biscuit” maltiness and a slight bread-like flavor from the British yeast.  Traditional ales like this have been served in European pubs for centuries.
